Topic: Preserving Ethnic Identity: Missouri’s German Heritage
Speaker: Dr. Petra DeWitt – Associate Professor of History & Political Science at Missouri Univ. of Science & Technology
Description: Dr. DeWitt discusses the history of German immigrants in Missouri and evaluates their legacy over the past 200 years. Although the majority acculturated into American society, they also held on to and continue to celebrate their German ethnic identity.

Tours are the first Wednesday and third Saturday of the month at 10:30 am Just show up and GOOOO!!!!!! 314-994-3300 extension 2070. Tier 4 open to the public every third Saturday at 10:30 am. There are 13,000 + family histories, school yearbooks, and materials for states west of the Mississippi and more.
